Ali Malek has over 25 years of professional experience in the planning, design, and construction of a range of architectural projects; from single family homes and condominiums; to multi-unit residential buildings, mixed-use complexes, as well as community and institutional developments.
His design philosophy focuses on sophisticated simplicity and volumetric playfulness; clean lines, classic forms and minimal elements characterize his design aesthetic. Ali pays close attention to keeping his projects human-centred and is driven by integrating client goals with design intent. Ali leads a dedicated studio team from feasibility design to contract admin and project completion with a focus on integrating modernist design with high-tech components, minimalism with sustainability.
Ali is passionate about architecture. If he had to do it over again, without question, he would choose the field of architecture again and again. He began his career at a young age by participating in a co-op program and completed his master’s degree in 1995. Ali is a registered licence architect with the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA) and a member of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC).

The landscape vision for Le Sentier is led by Strybos Barron King Ltd., a Toronto-based landscape architecture firm with decades of experience delivering residential, commercial, and municipal projects across the GTA.
For this infill townhouse development at 112 Elgin Mills Road, the landscape design was guided by principles of simplicity, aesthetics, and sustainability. Working closely with municipal authorities, the team carefully balanced built form and green space to ensure both regulatory compliance and long-term environmental performance.
Native and drought-tolerant plantings, generous soil volumes for healthy tree growth, and light-coloured paving materials with solar reflectance qualities were thoughtfully selected to support durability and sustainability. The result is an understated yet refined landscape that enhances the architectural vision while fostering a cohesive and livable community setting.
